After submitting a video file with Chapters that don't work on my Samsung or LG players, I was told that AVS4YOU could not find any problems on three players they use for testing. Problem as I see it is that their three players are all expensive ones costing four times as much as mine. So if you own and use one of these expensive players, you have nothing to worry about. If you own something like a Samsung BD E6500, all bets are off.

Hello,

We have tested BD discs burnt in AVS Software on 15 BD Players both expensive and more affordable. We haven't managed to reproduce the issue.
If anyone faced a similar issue, they are welcome to post their comments here.

Best regards

I must be very creative. I have managed to use your software to edit and burn a video on a Verbatim BD-R that can only partially display Chapters. Have you been able to display all 5 chapters on the test video I sent you? There is something here you are not telling me. Were any of the machines you tested on identical to the three machines I tested on? Statistically, I cannot believe that I just happened to test with three machines that don't represent in any way the 15 machines you tested with.

I might suggest you mail me a BD-R disc with sample video and several chapters (more than 3) that I can insert in my machine. This should be a high def
1080 line MPEG using the same BDMV format you use in your editor create process.

My address is:

Short of that, I still don't believe your software works for the kind of burn I did.

I burned a test video from AVS4YOU containing what they said was workable chapters. After burning a BD-R BluRay disc and inserting it in my Samsung
Player, it would not even play, displaying a STOP. I was able to play the chapters on my PC with this disc, so I now they are on the test video. Now, AVS4YOU is telling me they cannot re-create the problem, so they are washing their hands of the matter. I still wonder of the 21 thousand users of the video editor, if anyone has encountered problems displaying chapters on their players. My experience with the discs I burn is that the chapters will display
properly on my PC and a recent model LG with older firmware. What I haven't got to work is my current Samsung and the latest Samsung I tested in a store. Both of these have the latest firmware installed. There are too many variables in both the burning and the playback of these BluRay discs, but this problem should have shown up on other user machines.

I am sorry now that I started with AVS4YOU, but I am too far along in my project to switch to another product.
