I need a good tutorial on using transitions in video editor. I'm somewhat new at this. When I drag an effect to the effects bar, nothing sticks. Nothing shows up but a black screen when I try to edit an effect. The movie I'm editing is in .vep at this stage.

Please note, that when adding transitions, you need to add them to the line for Main video, not to the line for video effects.
