This must be user error but for some reason I have used AVS Video Editor to compile some footage from iPhone and Camcorder and set aspect ratio to 16:9 and produce the results to 720 x 576 (PAL) AVI uncompressed video size to avoid losing quality. Done this with several video projects which appear perfectly fine.

Now I want to import them into a new Project so I can created a proper Disc Menu and they appear reduced in size. there's a big balck border around all the videos. This is exactly the same when I use the DVD Authoriong software (which I still prefer anyway but it does not do too well with 16:9).

No I am doing something wrong as I have not had this before but it's been a while since I last authored DVD material.

Help !!

Hello,

Please try to apply the Crop Scale option:

Told you it was user error.

Cheers Lex, I had already Cropped Scale to 100 when I created the raw videos from camcorder footage. Did not realise I'd have to crop it again, when putting my master videos together with a Disc Menu.

Is there a way to do this from the Video Authoring software as I prefer the Flexibility of creating my own DVD menus which the Editor sadly lacks?
