I have a 29 second videoclip with subtitles on the bottom.
How can I crop the bottom of the video to cut out the subtitles?

Hello,

Please try to use crop scale option in AVS Video Editor
http://download.avs4you.net/distributives/AVSVideoEditor.exe

Follow our instructions:

Best regards.

But if you cut the portion with subtitles, the part of your video will be removed. Is there a way to simply remove the subtitle alone?

Thanks.

Hello,

There are two types of the subtitles:external and internal. There is no possibility to remove the internal subtitles. However,if you import video with external susbtitles AVS Video Editor doesn't take them. So, the video will be without subtitles.

Best regards.

There is a little trick I tried which was to place a Black background on the main screen then add the video into the Video Overlay where you can resize the video make it larger than the aspect screen with the subtialtes area dragged below the screen frame. Not ideal but this worked for me !!
