I have been working on a series of videos containing photos, and HD video and have had constant crashes lately. It seems like as I have added more images and video the problem has gotten worse to the point that the software is useless. In am running this on a core i7 machine and have seen some information on these forums from one year ago in which it appeared that AVS was not working with i7 machines.

Yes, you are quite right, AVS software may have issues of multi-threading conversion working with core i7 processors. I can assure you our developers are aware of it and working on the issue. It will be solved soon.

Is this my same issue and has it been resolved? Is there a fix? I have a lot of time into these productions and need to know if I must start over with another piece of software. Please let me know what is going on if you can.

Thanks

Hello,

Please make sure you use the latest version of AVS Video Editor 6.1:
http://download.avs4you.net/distributives/AVSVideoEditor.exe

If the issue remains attach a screenshot of your PC configuration: right-click My Computer, choose Properties, make a screenshot of the General tab. Please also specify what video cards you have.

Best regards.

Hello,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC. Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow the link below and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked:

OK, did that, worked for a short while then it started doing it again. Cannot access picture files and then it shuts down.

Hello,

In order to solve this problem please repair AVS files:

1. Close all AVS programs and other running applications.

2. Follow Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Repair.

If some of the .dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to us.

Best regards.

I recently purchased and downloaded the complete AVS4YOU program. I have created and "produced" a project for the first time. Now the Editor program will not execute at all. It eventually reads the program is not responding. Often I have to restart the notebook to try again.

My first project turned out beautifully.

Thank you for comments and suggestions.
