I m using Video Editor 6.1.2.211.
My video recorder (Panasonic TM700) produces HD films 1920x1080, 25fps. Output files are m2ts files. The format is AVCHD. The camera is great. The video quality is unbelievable excellent.

Now I want to import these HD files to AVS video editor to create a new film. The films are not very big, indeed they are <100 MB in size.
However, the quality is poor after saving the film with AVS video editor. For sure it is not HD quality any more. My saving options are AVI with "HD-Video 1080p h.264/AVC".

I also tried to activate / deactivate the caching option but that does not have impact on the result. Still the quality is poor(er).

Any hint is appreciated.
There must be a way to import / edit / save my excellent HD films with AVS Video Editor without loosing quality.

While importing video into the Timeline the software compresses the video file in order to keep the correct editing. Unfortunately, while conversion the software is not able to restore 100% quality.

Hi Lex, I have exactly the same issue. If this is correct then it does not make sense to have a full HD camera and to purchase AVS Video Editor. Was this issue fixed ? If not, how can I get back my money as I was made to believe I will get Full HD output after editing. The biggest issue is however not HD or not, but the video quality becomes almost non enjoyable, ragged and vibrating during fast camera motions!
