So all of a sudden AVS video editor continually crashes, I can't get any editing done with it become unresponsive and I have to force close the thing.
I've tried reboot the PC but that's not solved it.

I think it's time to move to something that actually support 64bit OS. Cyberlink Power director looks promising.

Hello,

In order to solve the issue please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC. Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:
http://avs4you.com/downloads.aspx
Now install the software on your PC anew.

If it does not solve the issue please contact us again and specify your PC configuration.

Best regards.

Hi Lex,

Thanks for that. But I'm still having issues, the program just keeps crashing.

PC specs:

Windows 7 64bit
Intel i5
16GB RAM

It's just strange as it was working fine up until Thursday.

Hello,

Try to provide some additional information about the error:

- describe your actions step by step;

- specify the format of the file you are trying to edit and its origin;

- specify to which format you convert and which presets you select;

Best regards.

Hi Lex,

Well the steps, I don't get very far,
open the editor > crate new project > imports video files > load first video into the time line > it caches fine > double click to edit > hangs.
I have to ctrl | alt | del to force the program to close.

It was fine up until this particular video, at first I thought corrupt files but they load fine into other editors. Now loading other videos files I get the same

The files are native .mov files from a Canon 7D

is there any log files I can send you?

Hello,

In order to find the reason of the issue please unzip and save the attached file into the following folder:
C:\Program Files\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor

Then, run AVS Video Editor and when the problem appears wait until our error message pops up. Send us a screenshot of an error message you've received and bug report (through Send report option).

Best regards.
