I'm thinking about buying the software but I have some questions first regarding H264 about Video Converter :

. the Single Pass - Quantizer mode : is it Constant Quantizer (CQ) or Constant Rate Factor (CFR) ?

. the internal H264 codec seems a bit old ("doll effect" on faces, which was the signature of old H264 codecs). Are you going to upgrade it ?

. I saw it's possible to use external codec for AVI. Why not doing that for MP4 ?

. I tried transcoding to AVI with external H264 codec but I met audio sync problems (didn't happen with the internal H264 codec)

Sorry for the late response.

Answering your questions:

1)It is Constant Quantizer in Single Pass - Quantizer mode.

2) At present, we do not plan to update h.264 codec, because current was fully tested to prevent such problems as out of sync and others.

3) Actuallty, mp4 format specifications allow only two codecs - H.264 and MPEG-4, that is why external codecs are not available.

4) Such problem may happen when you use external codecs which were not tested with our software. We do not guarantee proper work with such codecs.
