Bit of a tech question.

I knew AVS video editor is compatible with Windows 7 64bit but how well will it perform with 16GB RAM at it's disposal?

Thanks.

Hi,

Up until version 6, when it started crashing supposedly because I use it to edit H.264-encoded files (*.ts or *.m2ts) it worked great with the following:

Win7 64-bit
i5 760 Lynnfield
8GB RAM
GeForce GTX 460
>200GB available on HDD for cache

I regularly edited files >8GB and it had zero problems, again, until like an idiot I updated to version 6 (including the latest 6.1.2.211) and found myself alpha testing AVS' software (yet again).

sigh

That doesn't sound promising. Ahh well when the the PC arrives I will test it and see if it struggles or crashes. I hope it won't mean the search for another editor.
