I have four exercise videos I wanted to convert to a DVD. The videos totaled 128 minutes so I selected the “Good” quality that is supposed to allow 90 to 162 minutes for one DVD. When I selected “convert” a message appeared that said the output size is too big 5.77 GB. It was then recommended I split this to two DVDs. The 128 minutes is well under allowed 162 so I do not understand why this did not work. I had to eliminate one of the videos so I only converted 83 minutes to the DVD.

A competing program called ConvertX put all four videos on one DVD.

Also, is there a way to have the program burn to DVD automatically after conversion? All other programs I have seen do this as well.

Finally, is there a way to initiate the DVD burn sequence on already converted files? I had a power failure and the burn process was abandoned. I still had converted files on the hard drive, but no way to burn them that I could see.

Hello,

Please specify the format of the file you are trying to convert and its origin. Actually, when the conversion is finished you are offered to burn DVD using AVS Video Burner.
If you want to burn already converted file find the file you want to burn to an optical disc, right-click it and select: Send To -> AVS Video Burner.

Best regards.

Hello,

Please note, when you convert to DVD good quality - 90 min is aimed for standard DVD and 162 min - for Double Layer DVD.So, if you want to burn video with duration 128 min to DVD you should have either Double Layer disc or shrink video onto 2 discs.

Best regards.
