Hi,

I'm trying to convert an .wmv file to .swf but I keep getting black borders on the right and left.

These do not exist in the original video.

It shows me on the screen that the aspect is 640:480.

If I play around with changing the aspect size, it doesn't get rid of the black lines.

If I move the crop scale slider, then I get lines on the top and bottom as well.

How can I get rid of these borders?

Screen shot attached.

Thanks.

What exact resolution does you wmv file have? Check it in AVS Video Converter>Advanced>Conversion Options>Input File Properties>Video>Frame Size.

What if you select Original for both - Input and Output aspect ratio?

Hi,

640 x 480 pixels.

If I leave both as original I have the same problem.

Actually, part of the problem was that I had a background color set in my embed tag on the html page. When I set it to a white background, most of the problem went away, but not all.

The closest I can get is if I put the crop to 100% in AVS Video Converter. Then all the borders go away except for a very thin line at the top (see attached).

Do you know how I can get rid of this line?

Thanks, Susie

Fixed. It looks like it was a problem in the program that created the .wmv that I was trying to convert, and not AVS Video Converter.
