Using AVS Video Editor, is there a way to mute the sound of a movie briefly? It would be really great if I could just mute the vocal track without affecting the rest of the sound track (i.e., music, special effects, etc., but I'm guessing that would just be wishful thinking).

I would like to mute some words and commentary here and there. Can it be done?

Also, what about increasing or decreasing the sound levels? Can this be done as well? Perhaps even gradually - just like how you can fade video in or out?

Thank you kindly.

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no such feature as voice remover in AVS Video Editor. The only thing as I can suggest - is split your audio track into parts using Split buttons and mute the parts which contain unnecessary words, comments (right click on audio clip>Mute).

As for increasing/decreasing sound level - you should use Audio button, where you can find Amplify, Normalize and other audio effects. Find more details here.

Regards.
