Hello. I would like to choose some minutes from a VOB file, editing it.
I want to keep the first 15 minutes, and deleting the rest, and save as a mpeg format, with a good quality.
I am trying to do that with the AVS Video remaker, but in the end of the file keeped, the audio get a problem - it gets with a noise
and cut of audio. I repeated the operation 3-4 times, but the problem keeps there.
So, Am I doing that with the right software?
Thanks.

You should be using Video Converter. When you import the VOB file, you have to specify VOB files in the drop down list. For some strange reason, All Files doesn't include VOB. See attached screenshots.

Use the Edit function in VC to trim, add effects etc. Then convert to the format of your choice.

What is drop down list?
Usually I use "drag and drop" to set a file to convert in AVS video convert.

Please select Video_TS.IFO file while importing DVD video (in case you are working with DVD video)
Then you will be able to import the certain chapter or the whole video file
The VOB files can also be imported into the AVS Video Converter (via "drag and drop")

Nice work :-)

I'd recommend to save the screenshots as png or jpeg file, as you do not need any additional software for opening such formats
The easiest way (Microssoft Paint and PrintScreen button)

I have a great deal of experience converting vob files as opposed to ifo files. I discovered that I never get video/audio sync problems if I use the vob's, whereas I usually do if I use the ifo's. But that's just my experience.

I am having dificulty to understand where can I get the window you attached in the files. I have the Windows XP - is the image of the windows seven?
Usually I open the Avs video convert, and drag and drop the video files I want to convert inside the window of the programa ( AVS video converter ).
I can also click in the menu and choose "add file".
But the images of the attached files you provided, I can see them here.

It's the window which is opened when you press Browse button to browse input file, the same on XP and 7. By the way, vob files can be also opened using drag&drop.

Yes, I understand now.

Concerning to the jcthomson´s comment, the other day I did a conversion from a DVD to AVI format, and the audio got not syncronized with the movie.
I use the VIDEO_TS.IFO file from the DVD for the conversion. Well, I didn´t repeat the conversion in the next days to see if the problem keeps.
Maybe I must to try with the VOB files directly.
Thanks for the support.
