I don't know if this is a bug in my implementation, or if I'm missing something.

Suppose I want to move a clip to the right, to insert a title in front of it, or split a clip in two and move the 2nd half to the right 10 seconds to add a title before it. HOW?? Usually, the duration of the timeline is limited to the length of my movie, leaving no room to drag the last clip to the right. However, even if I add a title or audio clip to the end (to "lengthen" the timeline), I'm still unable to move anything to the right to make room for my title. It's like AVSVE decides where the clip shall go and by God, that's where it will stay.

Every other video editor I've ever used allows me to grab and move clips left and right (if there's empty space on either side). Doesn't this one?

Thanks.

Hello,

Sorry for the late response.

Actually, Video Editor does not allow to move clip on main video line a nd live blank space in it.

If you want to put title at the beginning, just drop the clip you need at the beginning, thus other videos will move to the right.

I hope it helps.

Best regards.

How do you move a clip on the timeline? I've tried everything I can think of. All I want to do is the most basic element of editing. Move a clip to a specific place on the timeline. I'm editing to a piece of music.
Can someone, anyone please tell me how to do this?
Hopefully as soon as possible.
thanks,
Chill

In the post above I've mentioned that it is not possible to move video as you wish on the main line. Main Line cannot have blank space, video cannot be empty. I will have to put blank backround between video parts or smth like that.

I hope it clarifies.

Regards.
