Please make it possible to permanently close the 'Select source for a new project' area in AVS Video editor.
This area was added when the interface of AVS Video Editor was re-designed. However, it is very wasteful of screen space (the icons are absolutely HUGE) and it's also redundant (because everything that this area does can just as easily be achieved by using the "File" menu).
The area also takes valuable space away from the list of Recent Projects. This means that, not only do you have to keep scrolling up and down to see all your recent projects, but there is so little space that all the project file names are truncated. The truncated names mean that it's often impossible to tell one project from another because you can only see one or two words followed by dots. If you have projects called "Fiji Holiday1", "Fiji Holiday 2", "Fiji Holiday test" and "Fiji Holiday final edit" all you see is "Fiji Holida ...." for each item, making it impossible to tell one from the other without having to load each one. You don't even get the full project name in a tooltip if you hover your mouse over the recent project thumbnail.
It would be better if the Recent projects area was reorganized so that the thumbnails were all listed vertically with the name beside it (because this would allow for much longer project names to be displayed). The whole area could be used for recent projects if the 'Select Source' pane could be closed (by clicking a small x in top right hand corner).
Thanks
