Hi,

I shot video using my Sony Video camera. I transferred the footage onto a disc using a Sony disc maker. I now have three file choices each containing the same footage for editing the video which I will put up on YouTube. My question is which file should I use?
The three choices are:

1. VTS_06_0.IFO Size: 36 KB
2. VTS_06_1.VOB Size: 1,048,574 KB
3. VTS_06_2.VOB Size: 744,130 KB

When I view them on Windows Media Player they all look the same to me.

Also, I am obviously new to all this, as I do not know the difference between an IFO file and a VOB file. What do those acronyms stand for?

Thank you,

Hello,

IFO file applies to vob files, it's like a link to vob video files. Main VIDEO_TS.IFO file contains streams to all VOB files, so we recommend to load it into AVS Video Converter to convert the whole movie. In your case it does not matter which file to open vob or ifo.

Regards.
