Hello
I used AVS Video Editor to screen capture a video from the web. Since SCRENN CAPTURING implies some useless scenes at the beginning and the end, I cut the useless parts using the timeline/storyboard area of AVS Video Editor (the timeline showing both the video and sound data). To my surprise the video and sound were not synchronous anymore. Where as the sound was normal, the video part run faster and ended approx. 2 min before the target film duration of 13 min.

In order to find an explanation, I separately saved the sound as MP3 using the AVS Audio Editor after trimming the quite areas at the beginning and the end. Back in the AVS Video Editor, I first trimmed the video by deleting the useless parts. Then I set the sound in the video/sound timeline section to zero and imported the MP3 file to the Audiomix timeline and produced the result to a new file. This time it worked very well. The difference in video and audio time length were neglectable (2s only, probably due to the individual triming of video and sound).

My second attempt can't be the standard solution. What did I wrong? Any suggestion?

To solve the problem please update AVS Video Editor to version 5.2.

Then try trimming videos and see if the problem persists.

Regards.
