During build, Video Editor crashed. Fortunately, I had saved the project a minute earlier, and only added some text before it happened. Unfortunately, when I reopened it, the 150 scenes I had created were gone, although the 80 I had used still showed on the timeline. Anyway to get those scenes back? And if not, will not, does Video Editor know the scenes on the timeline are just start and stop times from the original video (in which case I can detect the scenes again and continue on the timeline where I left off)?

Well, I went ahead and had it redo the scenes. They were differently cut than before, but since the timeline was still intact, I just continued it using the new scenes, and this worked. Saved and created a very nice dvd. I noticed a couple of editing errors, tho, so reopened the saved project, and all the scenes were gone again! Does Video Editor always lose the scenes from the Media Library when the project is closed?

Hello,

Could you please discribe how do you cut scenes? Do you use Detect Scenes feature in Trim option or Split button? Please give the details.

Regards.
