When converting AVI files to DVD format, my Video Converter has suddenly begun making the DVD conversions stop at the end of each chapter when playing the DVD file (and return to the main menu page) . How do I get the converted DVD file to play without stopping for the next chapter (like it used to do)?

Hello,

First of all, please make sure that you have the latest version AVS Video Converter 7.

How many chapters do you create in your DVD menu? Where do you play resulted DVD, on computer or DVD player?

Regards.

Hi Vlad,
Thanks for the response.
I am using the latest version. I was generally letting the program set the chapters for me (usually 4 was the result). It stops the DVD, at the chapters, when I play the disc in a DVD player. I believe it has something to do with the DVD Burner program I was using (not the AVS version). I am using the AVS Burner now and have not encountered the same problem.

I do wonder, though...
Should it take around 2 hours to convert the average movie (in AVI format) to DVD?

Good news that the problem with DVD chapters is solved. :-)

As for time of conversion, it depens mainly on PC configuration and also on properties of source avi file (size, quality) and output profile. If you select, for example DVD Standard Play profile, it will take less time that converting to DVD High Quality profile.

Regards.
