I was trying to do a slideshow with a few photos and a soundtrack.

So I imported the photos and dragged them into the timeline .. they total 3 minutes

I added a song that totals 5 minutes...

How do I resize all the timing of each photos all at once in equal amounts to 5 minutes and niot 3.

Sometimes I would want to do this only with some photos and not all.

Soundslides has that functionality and it's pretty handy - how does anyone even create a photo slide show without it??

thanks,
Joe

Hello Joe,

The only way is to set necessary duration as a default photo duration in AVS Video Editor>Edit>Settings menu. However, you will need to add photos to Timeline again after that.

Best regards.

i am making a video out of a large number of photos, i want to change the duration of all the photos at once from the default 5 seconds to 2 seconds, is that possible or do i have to change the duration of each photo individually? i literally have a thousand photos so it would take forever to manually change the duration of each photo one at a time. windows live movie maker lets you change the duration of all photos at once if you want. can you do it with video editor 5.1?

Hello,

Currently, the only way is to change default time for photos. Please note my post above.

I hope it helps.

Regards.

That is unfortunate. This is a feature that needs to be added and should be a part of all professional video editors.

Thank you for your comments. I will forward them to our developers. Perhaps, this feature will be changed in the next version of the program.

Is there away to increase image duration uniformily for the whole project for a slide show? I can not find this feature that will effect all the images to a set time duration. The image time feature in edit does not seem to any images in the project even though it can be changed to a higher number. The default is set to .05 seconds and the where eage image time is set unless you change them one by one. This is very time consuming for large Slide Show. A feature should be added to change all image durations at once. There is no Select All for this feature.

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply.

You can change default duration for all the images in Settings of AVS Video Editor, see the post #12740 above.

I hope it helps.

Best regards.

It would appear that I also cannot change the transition speed on all of the photos I have loaded. I presume this is another GOTCHA for changing any durations across the whole story board! This is an unusable product if that is so! One should be able to change those sorts of parameters for a defined set of items but there doesn't appear to be a way of defining a sub-set i.e. holding down shift and clicking on items to define the the extents that one wants edit! It's basic requirement!!!

Dear user,

You can change the duration of images and transitions before creating the project. Press the Edit tab on the top toolbar of AVS Video Editor choose Settings - Edit.

However if the image files are already on the timeline, it is possible to change the duration of only one image file at a time.

Best regards.

Your Programmer has been working on default slide show duration for 8 years. The closest option for changing default duration of slide is post 28298, in that scenario EDIT>SETTINGS>OBJECTS>DURATION.... I can not get the duration tab to respond.... Not just once but many many times. I have reinstalled latest video editor and pulled all my hair out. Is there a fix in the Mill? I do not want to have to buy another editor to get my work done. Is multiple Slide or objects selection just impossible for you? Do you have any kind of an answer for us. Thanks Randy
