Can you please help?.

I am using AVS Video Convertor V 7.0.2.452. I'm trying to convert AVI to DVD with subtitles.

I have 2 files in a folder with the same name but different extension of AVI (movie) and SRT (subtitle).

Selected my input AVI file. Proceeded to select subtitle from Advanced > Conversion Options> Subpicture:
The dropdown options available: <none> and <1 Track>.

My SRT file is not in the dropdown to be selected?.

Anyway, I selected <1 Track> and the process completed. I played the movie on the DVD format but NO SUBTITLE.

Am I missing something?.
I thank you in anticpation of your response.

Regards,
Leeroy

I downloaded a season of the wire tv show, and it comes with a separate srt. file. when I watch it in Divx the subtitles appear. I want to burn the video with the subtitles, hardcode is ok.

I have tried to import the srt file along with the mkv file into my AVS converter version 6. However when I try to import the srt. file it says file format error. I have also tried looking for the subtitles in the "Subpicture" section, again nothing appears in the option box, except the "none" option and a "1."option.

Can someone please help me, I intend to burn about 5 seasons worth of the show, and one of my relatives is hearing impaired. Thanks.

Hello,

You should not open srt file in AVS Video Converter, the file should just be in the same folder with mkv file and have the same name. Is it so?

Regards.

Ya the srt file is in the same folder as the mkv and it is spelled the exact same way. when i try to import the full folder it says error, and when i try to import the srt and mkv separate it says error for the srt. Should I just do what leeroy did and select the number 1 in the subpicture dropbox?

I am looking for a way to add forced subtitles to movies. I understand that AVS Viideo Editor does not support them. This posting about AVS Video Converter is interesting though. What I would like to be able to do is load my video and subtitle files (.VOB and .srt in my case) and produce a set of DVD (.VOB) files that would always show the subtitles (in forced fashion). I could then load them in AVS Video Editor and edit the movie without having to manually add text to represent the subtitles. How close (or far off am) I?

Hello,

Srt subtitles cannot be loaded with vob files. As a workaround I can advise you to load your vob files into AVS Video ReMaker and change container to avi (it does the job fast). Then you will be able to load it with srt subtutles track into AVS Video Converter.

Best regards.
