Hello!
I recently purchased a subscription for the AVS suite and am running into some frustrations. There are several blu-rays that I own that I want to make video backups of to save wear-and-tear on the disc, but I'm having issues.

AVS Video Converter can only see the preview files and some bonus videos (not the main movie) on at least 4 of the 10 or so Blu-Rays I've tested. If there is no solution to this, the program only working 1/2 of the time is not what I thought I was paying for!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Hello,

Could you please specify which excat file do you open from your blu-ray disc.

We recommend to open index.bdmv file from BDMV folder for conversion and select the longerst Title in Adanced>File Information>Video track option. See the details here. You can also open the largest by size m2ts file from STREAM folder to convert blu-ray movie.

I hope it helps.

Regards.

I just came back to the program to see if I can fix this issue now that I have an Apple TV and could really use backups of my Blu-rays. The first two Blu-rays I've tried had the issue--Clash of the Titans and Inception. I try opening the index file under BDMV, and there are only 2 files showing, each less than 25 minutes long. I select the largest M2ts file and it's 24 minutes long. I select all the M2ts files and it's a total of 3+ hours, which is longer than the movie.

I'm fairly frustrated that paid for a program that won't out 5.1 audio and won't back up Blu-rays--the whole reason I purchased it.

Hello,

Actually, the blu-ray movie you are trying to convert has a little different structure and does not contain the whole movie in index.bdmv or largest m2ts file. To convert such movie you should load all m2ts files. If there are credits or some extras along with the movie, you can playback loaded m2ts files in Edit option of AVS Video Converter and see which episodes are unnecessary.

Multi-channel sound is available for Apple TV, see the details here.

Best regards.
