Editing mp4, asf and also jpg files

After Video editor version 4.2.1.188 was installed last night, I noticed the following in the Color correction: moving Hue or Saturation up or down (even slightly) results in bright green spots on some white parts of the picture.
Re-installing version 4.2.1.179 didn't help -- still green spots.
The same problem occurs when I use the (also upgraded) Video converter version 6.4.4.420.
Could it be possible that the new install permanently replaced a file, used by both programs?

Any ideas, someone?

Uninstalled both Converter and Editor and re-installed the older versions (Converter 6.4.3.419, Editor 4.2.1.179), hoping for improvement. In vain, unfortunately: see attachment.

Oops...! Although the green spots are visible, above is not the one it should.

Please specify what Color Quality is set in your Display Properties - right click on your desktop - choose Properties - Settings.
Do you get the same problem on any video (image files) you use (of any format and origin)?
Specify if the green sports appear if you save the Movie, in other words do you get the same green spots on the resulted file?

- Color depth: highest, 32-bit; Resolution: 1024x768
- Problem occurs with all kinds of pics -- video, stills -- but only in the two AVS programs.
- The green spots appear during a color correction and are also on the saved movie.
- Attachment: saturation -1 only and practically all whites shift to green.

Please attach one of the image files you use.
Specify also what settings of Hue and Saturation you select and to what format (profile) you save the video to.

Re-installed the newest version first -- 4.2.1.188

- Conversion from ASF to AVI
- Frame 384x288
- Codec Mpeg4 (DivX/XviD compatible)
- Frame rate 25fps, Bit rate 600

Attached:
1. No correction
Saved as: Rts1_raw.avi

2. Color correction: Saturation minus 3
Saved as: Rts1_cor.avi

I'd love to, but that particular ASF is an uncut 99MB monster.
So, I made a small one from the same source, as well as a corrected AVI (same specs as the earlier newsreader). Bad audio though.

On a sideline, but who knows it is helpful...
During the installation of both Converter and Editor I tacked the box for "Install Windows Media Format 11 series Runtime files".
Whether I did that also with earlier versions the past I truely can't remember, but I'm sure there was no problem with color correction.

These are Windows Media files, they can not influence the color quality of converted video files and used for correct encoding of windows media files (such as .WMV, dvr-ms, etc).

To avoid the problem please try to update or reinstall the drivers of your video card.

Please also unzip the file in the attachment and save it to your hard drive: C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX
Then follow Start - All programs - AVS4YOU - Repair and try to convert your file once again.

Please inform about the result.

Updated the drivers as you suggested and tested the software -- no change.
Replaced the AVSImageStudio3.dll with the new one and this worked perfectly. Thank you!

Just curious: shouldn't the new DLL have been included in the instal package? Or is my system 'exceptional'?
