How do you update the software? There is no auto update!!

AVS Update Manager allows you to update programs from x.x.1 version to x.x.2 only, updates from x.1 to x.2 can be downloaded directly from our website only. In order to update AVS Video Converter to the newest version (6.3 to 6.4), please download it from the downloads page.

I always check with the AVS Updater to look for updates to my installed AVS software. I usually says NO NEW UPDATES but it has found some in the past. Well I tried it today after having a glitch in the AVS VIDEO EDITOR and it said no updates available. Then I went to the site and there was version 5.xx so i downloaded it and manually uninstalled version 4.xx and everything is fine. Do I need to update the AVS updater?
