I am having trouble converting a 20 minute .mov video to .wmv. I have converted it at least 5 times now and everytime it cuts it off at a different point. The first time it only recorded the first 16 seconds, then it did 4 minutes, then 12 minutes, then 10 minutes, and now, after almost 2 hours of converting, I have a 6 minute version.

Any suggestions??

Also - how long does it take to hear back from AVS support? I put in a ticket last Friday and haven't heard ANYthing! Not even an email to confirm my ticket!

Please could you provide the following information:
1. Make sure you are using the latest version of AVS Video Converter.
2. Make sure that your original video file is played correctly using various video players.
3. Open your file in the program and preview it in the Edit window. Is the movie played up to the end?
4. If yes, close this window, choose the preset, click on Advanced > File Information and send us a screenshot of this window.
5. Do you get any errors during conversion? Please attach screenshots.
6. Specify the OS installed on your PC.

Hope to hear from you soon

Thanks Nadin! We think it ended up being the laptop we were on - it didn't have enough memory! We had our IT group transfer the software to another laptop and now it's working perfectly!

It was a pretty slow laptop and we were already in the process of getting a new one, so very happy that solved this problem as well! :)

After I downloaded a whole file with the flv version. I tried to convert it to avi version, but I can only get about 3 minutes instead of the whole 45 minutes. Would anyone show me how to do it? I appreciate it very much. Thanks

I have the same problem here. I am converting avi to flv. It cuts of last 2 or 3 seconds - very frustrating.

Avs4you has not responded to two tickets.

What's going on?
