Having made a graphic overlay, inserted it into the timeline, and want to edit it, the program centres the graphic and I then expand it to the size I want. The problem is that no matter what size graphic or PPI I use the resulting overlay becomes blocky (pixelated). I have used GIF and PNG files. What am I doing wrong, or can you suggest a PPI.

Does it become pixelated in the program/in the output file (after you save the movie) or both? Please could you attach the image file used in your project as video overlay. Also specify format and preset selected when saving the movie. Does the whole movie become pixelated or only the section with the overlay?

Hope to hear from you soon

..the image always has a white box around it.

Example:

Say I wanted that battery in the video clip.. Just sitting there. Is there a way to remove the white box around the battery? Cause when I edited the photo in Photoshop, it has a transparent background - So I don't understand why there needs to be a white box there when I put it in the AVS editor.

The background isn't an image. It's video. I'm placing an image over the video and it comes out with a white box around it.

Sorry for the inconveniences. We need the file you use as image overlay (battery).

Thank you for your help.

Well here's the battery. I was only using it as an example, though.

Please try to save the picture in .png format after editing it in Photoshop, then try to use it in AVS Video Editor once again and inform about the result.

Hello Rohini,

Unfortunately there is such a problem in AVS Video Editor, but our developers are working on this issue and it will be resolved in the next version of AVS Video Editor released in a couple of months.

Thank you for understanding.

Best regards
