I need your help. When I review my video using the editor, my video plays back at an excellerated speed almost like I am playing it back in fast forward mode. The palyback speed is 1X, default. and my video in .FLV and is 29+ minutes and I need to extract varioud clips from it.

Does the problem persist when you play a particular FLV file/any FLV file/files of other formats as well?
If this is a particular file, make sure it is played at normal speed in various players.

My video playback is FAST at x1 (default) and no audio at all. I tested mpg Canon camera movies and mov movies that were fine on Vista. By the way, the Video Converter 6 works amazing with same stuff.

Could you please do some testing for us.
1. Please install AVS Audio Editor and import any file containing audio - check up whether it is played fine or not.
2. Try to use AVS Media Player in order to play the same file you cannot preview correctly in AVS Video Editor. What is the result?

I am having the same problem. When I play the file in AVS Media Player, it plays normal. The file shows the default at 1x but is running in super fast motion.

By the way, when i first created the project, I was using the free trial version. This started happening after I registered the product. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Does this happen in AVS Video Editor? The latest version of the program? If not, try updating the software.

Please import other videos files into the program (files of other formats). Does the same problem persist?

I am running the latest software 4.2.1.166. I am a new user of this software.

I have another video file (.avi) that I just imported and I am getting the same playback.

Do you hear audio during fast motion playback? Please specify whether you use speakers or headphones.

Try switching them off or vice versa plug them in. Does this change anything?

This problem must be connected with the drivers for your audio card. Try updating them. This must resolve the problem.

After converting a WMV file to FLV. I found that it ran faster. I rebooted the computer and it ran normally. Actually all of the converted files would run fast after a conversion and all normall after reboot.

Have no idea why.

If the converted files do run normal some time, the problem is connected not with the program, but with the player used to playback the files or your video card.

Try to use some other players and update (reinstall) your video card drivers.

Hello. I had this same problem....I had created the project with my Bluetooth as the sound device. When the Bluetooth was off or disconnected or turned off I had the exact same problem. I recommend they check to ensure their speakers are plugged in or whatever they are using for a sound device. Once I paired by Bluetooth with the computer again, the anomaly disappeared.

You need to save the project file before reinstalling the software - press the File button on the top toolbar of AVS Video Editor - choose Save Project.

We recommend you to export media library also before reinstalling - see the screenshot attached.
