It's easy to waste time in Ito when a photo challenge only gives you a name and a rough region. Kitayama Big Daisugi is one of those spots. It isn't on a big main road, and the game doesn't exactly hold your hand. If you're already roaming the area for landmarks, barn finds, or even stacking FH6 Credits through other progress, this stop is worth folding into the same run because it's quick once you know what you're looking for.

Where to Drive in Ito

The landmark sits in the northern part of Ito, over on the eastern side of the map. The easiest way to line yourself up is by using Ito Airfield as your reference. Start there, then head northeast until you reach a dirt route cutting through the woods. That trail is the important bit. A lot of players stay on the cleaner roads for too long and end up searching the wrong patch of forest. Once you're on the unpaved path, keep going through the tree-covered section and watch the skyline rather than the road itself.

How to Get the Photo Without Overthinking It

This part's simple, though people still make it harder than it needs to be. Pull up near the cedar cluster and open Photo Mode. On controller, that's the D-pad up input, while keyboard players can hit P. You don't need a fancy angle. You don't even need your car in the frame if you don't want it there. The challenge registers as long as the Kitayama Big Daisugi trees are visible in the shot. That's it. Take the photo, let the game process it, and the landmark should tick off under Discover Japan. You'll get 100 points added to your exploration progress, which is why these photo spots are such a solid way to move your rank along when races or longer side content start to feel like a slog.

The Barn Just South of the Trees

There's another reason people remember this place. Just south of the Kitayama Big Daisugi marker, a smaller gravel path breaks away from the main trail and leads to a barn. That barn holds the 1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette, which is one of the more interesting hidden cars tied to exploration progress. There is a catch, though. If you go there too early, you'll find nothing and probably assume you missed the trigger. You didn't.

Final Thoughts

For the fastest run, just fast travel to Ito Airfield, switch into something that doesn't hate dirt, and head northeast until the forest trail pulls you in. That route gets you to the landmark in well under two minutes, and from there you can grab the photo, check the barn path, and move on without much fuss. It's one of those challenges that feels annoying right up until you know the trick, then it becomes a very easy bit of progress. And if you're also building out your garage with rare finds and seasonal picks, keeping an eye on Forza Horizon 6 Cars can make the whole exploration grind feel a lot more rewarding before you head back onto the road.
