I have set my file up with all photos, transitions and music. Everything looks fine. When I save my movie and convert, it only goes for around 3 minutes then comes up with the message that conversion is complete. I then burn the DVD - again, very quick to burn. Then when I play it on my DVD player, there is only 3 minutes of play on it. I thought maybe there was a problem with one of the transitions, so changed the transition that was at the point where it cuts off, no luck. Then I took that particular photo out as well. This didn't seem to work. I've tried it a few times and each time it finishes at a different point, but always only around 2 - 4 minutes. I'm becoming very frustrated, my daughters 21st birthday is only a couple of weeks away and I need to get this slideshow completed. Thanks

Please open VIDEO_TS folder saved on your hard disc after conversion. Which files does the folder contain? Try playing VIDEO_TS.IFO file. Is the file played? If yes, is the whole slideshow played ot not?

Hope to hear from you soon

Hi, I've opened the VIDEO_TS folder and it contains 6 files - VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB, VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_O.IFO AND VTS_01_1.VOB. I've played the VIDEO_TS.IFO file and it only contains 2 minutes of the 37 minute slideshow. Thanks

Are there enough space on your hard disc for saving the movie?
Try saving it to some other place, for ex. the other hard disc.

Yes, plenty of space on my hard drive - it says I need 2.51 GB and I have 185.10 GB free, so definitely not that. The only way I can make it work is if I take ALL the transitions out and ALL the music. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it, to no avail. I don't know what else I can do. Is there a limit on the size of images that you can use? Thanks

Hi, I'm still having problems with this slideshow and time is fast running out for me to complete it for my daughter's birthday. I've paid for software which doesn't work and I really need some answers. I asked before but didn't get a reply - is there a certain size that pics need to be to import (e.g. should they be less than 1 mb?)
Thanks

No, there is not.
Unfortunately, a problem with slideshow projects (containing a lot of images) really exists. :-(
However, it has been corrected in the next version of AVS Video Editor which will be released in June.

We apologize for the inconveniences caused and would recommend you to wait for the next version.

Best regards

I'm having the same problem, it only converts less than half of the slideshow. When in June is this new software coming out? If I had known this, I wouldn't have paid for software that didn't work.

Hi Nadin,

I only purchased this software in April and have been working on it since for a slideshow for my daugher's 21st birthday. Her 21st birthday has now passed and I didn't have the slideshow to give her because of the fault with the software.

I have a slide show that is approximately 20 minutes long. When I try to save as a avi file the avi file stops around a minute and 30 seconds before the end. All of the pictures are in the project and show up in the project preview, but they do not get converted into the final avi file. Any suggestions?

When will the new versions of DVD Authoring and Video Editor be coming out? I have a couple of projects that have errors that I hope the new versions will correct?

AVS Video Editor 4.2. is already available on our website.
As for AVS DVD Authoring, there is some more testing needed. Unfortunately, the deadline is not determined and I would not even speculate about the release date.

Best regards
