Hi--I'm having the same problem with Media Center (dvr-ms) files. Approximately 3gig files convert fine but 6gig don't.

It seems that the error that you get is different. Have you tried reinstalling the problem following the instruction submitted?

If the problem still occurs after reinstallation, please try using the .reg files posted to run the program in one-tread mode.

In case neither of the solutions work in your case, please write back. Make a screenshot of the program interface showing the error that you get. If this is a Windows error, click on "Click here" link to view the complete information about the error.

Also as soon as the problem is reproduced, please launch Task Manager and click Performance. Make a screenshot of this window as well.
Attach all the screenshots here. They would help us to reproduce the error.

Looking forward to hearing from you

The large m2ts to WMV issue seems to be resolved, as i successfully converted a 2 1/2 hour m2ts to WMV.

However, I now have an issue of AVS crashing when I queue up multiple m2ts files and execute conversion to one 1080P WMV file. It crashes about 20-30 minutes into the conversuion, saying AVS has stopped working.

Converting multiple m2ts to MPEG 1080p works fine.

If your m2ts files all come from the same Blu-ray disc, try importing index.bdmv file into the program instead. You can choose the title you would like to convert in Video > Track field of the Advanced window. By importing the same index.bdmv file multiple times and choosing the titles needed, you can convert more than one title at once.

I will also send you a possible fix to this issue on the support page.

Nadin,
Sounds like I'm having the same problem - trying to convert a 26GB m2ts file and crashing about 25% of the way through. If you can send the files, that would be great; if you need more info, please let me know. Thanks.

I thought the message was quoted automatically - I'm referring to the problem that robert@serviceexp was having with large file; in message#7043 it sounds like you had a fix for him:

Hello,

The fix was included into the latest version AVS Video Converter 6.4.2.417. Do you have it installed?

Could you please also specify the origin of your m2ts file? Is it from Blu-ray disc?

Regards.

Can you please post me the fix to successfully convert .ts files, larger than 4GB, within Video Converter. It appears there is a remedy for this problem. I have just bought the software after much consideration and now am extremely annoyed as it does not do what I purchased it for. I have downloaded the 6.4.3.418 version two days ago. No error codes come up the programme just "ghosts" out and (not responding) remains permanently.
I would very much appreciate a quick solution to this problem otherwise I will need a refund.
Thanks kindly
Suzanne

Thank you for your reply.

We are trying to convert .ts files from an LG PVR (after first moving them to a 500GB external hard drive).

System Specs are:
Processor Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 CPU
6300 @ 1.86GHz 1.87GHz
Memory 4.00GB
System Type 32 bit Operating System

(none of which means anything to me but hope it helps you :) )

Thank you for your ongoing assistance.

Hey Vlad,
Sorry I have been traveling, so I finally was able to log in and reply.
I didn't mean to be so vague. I just thought that my symptoms were identical to others and it did not look like the problem went away for others.
PC Specs:
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3GHz
Memory: 3 GB
Operating System: Vista Premium
Type: 32-Bit
AVS Video Converter Version: 6.4.3.419

One of the Movies I am trying to convert to .AVI is a .DVRMS, recorded from one of my ATI Tuner Cards, off my HTPC. The file size is 8.88 GB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Could you please specify what is the problem exactly?

Does the converter crash converting large files or hang? Or you just not able to load large file into the program?

Regards.

Hi Vlad,

When I try open a recorder movie, like The Hangover, Video Converter will try to open the file. I will let it run for a half an hour. Sometimes it will eventually open the file, but when i try to convert the file, to say AVI, the program will crash. I attached a screen shot of the progress bar at the bottom. That was after 20 minutes and you could see, almost no progress has passed.
