OK - I think I solved my problem. I saw on another thread to remove
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable if it was present.
I did that, and Converter has now opened for me. *YAHOO*

I have uninstalled the program and deleted the files from the registry and my computer as instructed. I then downloaded and installed the newest version of the software and reinstalled. When I try to convert a large flv file to DVD, I get a Windows error message that says the program has to be shut down. The Windows message includes: AppName: avsvideoconverter.exe, ModVer: 1.0.1.623, Offset:00027a8a, AppVer: 6.2.2.287, avsmediacore3.dll. I also purchased an additional license for a different computer and have a similar message when trying to convert multiple files. Both computers are running Windows XP sp3.

Hello,

Please precise, whether the error repeats only with this file. For that try to use the files of the type. So, if that's only one file that provokes the error, please let us know, and I will send you the FTP details, to send us the file. That will allow us to reproduce the error.

If the error repeats with other files, please follow:
Start> All Programs>AVS4YOU>Repair and inform us about the result. (screenshot will be enough)

Hope to hear from you soon

I use a HP 2.55GH intel core 2 duo, 4 GB RAM, 32 bit. Pavilion DV 7
I have tried using AVS Video converter several times and now it does not show progress like it used to. Mostly to fix AVI movies.
I removed the software. I uploaded a fresh copy, a cleaned the system using AVS registry cleaner as well and still nothing happens. Any suggestion?

Dear user,

To analyse the problem we need one of your source .AVI files, please upload it to our FTP server.

I have send you the instructions via AVS Support System on how to do it. Use your e-mail and forum password to log in and track the answer.

Hi

I wonder if anyone can assist.

My AVS Video Editor has stopped working and appears to hang the programme so the only way to close is to use Task Manager.

Has anyone experienced this and do you know how to resolve.

Dear user,

We recommend you to make sure that you use the latest version of AVS Video Editor available (9.7.1). To update your version please download the latest versions from the official website and install them over the old ones.

In case it doesn't help, please send the detailed description of the issue to our support team via AVS4YOU Support System and PC configuration.

Best regards
