When using AVS Disck Creator, I keep receiving "Track Following Servo Failure" error messages and doesn't not backup the data.( My dvd burner works fine with other burning programs I have also.) Can you please tell me what this means and how to correct it. Thank you.

Thanks for the response. This didn't fix the issue, but I finally figured out the problem. The link was still the same version I was using but I went ahead and reinstalled it anyway. I still has the same problem. I installed the program on my parents computer was able to get it to work before the "do not have multiple licenses" security kicked in. Both are identical computers except theirs does not have a dvd burner and I used an external one of my own which is 2X. So I went back to my pc that has it's own internal burner and lowered the speed to the lowest. It seems to work fine now. I'm going to try increase the speed more when I feel like dealing with issue of possibly creating more drink coasters, but for now, I'm happy with the lowest speed. It's still fast enough for me. I get the impression that it doesn't have an "auto detection" for speed. It sees all the highest speed the drive can get, but doesn't auto set it to the highest "burn speed" it can get and I had to make sure to do this manally. No big deal when I realized it after 20 attempts between the 2 computers (and 20 drink coasters). Anyways it to seems work fine when I choose a lower burn speed and not let it try to auto detect or use the highest speed.
Also, I decided after finally figuring this out,and seeing the program work right, to purchase a license for my parents pc also, and they can keep my external backback, but it won't let me register another license. Can you please help me with this? Thank you.

Have you tried reinstalling the software? Please do. Download the latest version of AVS Disc Creator anew. If this does not help, please attach a screenshot of the program interface showing the error.

Hope to hear from you soon

I have downloaded the newest version several times, I have tried burning at the lowest speed, but to no avail. I am using Memorex DVD-R 16x 4.7GB discs.

Update: I went through and read ALL of the posts that were even semi-related to my problem and figured that I had the incorrect DVDs. So I went and bought Sont DVD-RW 4.7GB 1-4X discs (these were the slowest Best Buy had) just as Dam said to do.

This still doesnt work. I now have $40 worth of useless DVDs.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

The logs show that the data cannot be burnt on this particular disc you have used. Please try using a disc from another manufacturer, ex. Verbatim or TDK.

Thank you for the reply. Can you give me specifics as to which "exact" discs to buy? I'm already in the hole $40 worth of useless DVDs and I dont want to waste anymore money.

Thank you

Verbatim or TDK. The following disc types are recommended:
DVD-RW 1x-2x, DVD-R 4x and slower;
DVD+RW 2.4x, DVD+R 2.4-4x.

I bought $10 worth of (now worthless) TDK discs that fit your requirements and the same problem is occuring (The total is now up to almost $50). This is getting ridiculous. Any disc should work with burning software, in my opinion. And it should definitely work when I bought the specific disks that you told me would work.
