I am trying to use AVS Video Converter to convert a decrypted DVD (.VOD) to Apple TV format. AVS repeatedly crashes after several minutes while 'preparing the data for conversion'. I am running Windows XP with 4GB of RAM on a Dell XPS 400. I did look at the Performance tab on the Windows Task Manager tool (as recommended in another post) and noticed that CPU usage was running at 100% during this operation. Attached is the Windows error message received.

The reason the error occured must be that the program is not installed correctly on your PC. Please try reinstalling AVS Video Converter. Here is the link to download the newest version.

Best regards

Thanks Nadin - I uninstalled the version you believe was not installed correctly, downloaded the 'newest version' following the link you provided and am having the same issue.

How would you suggest we proceed?

Please specify if the error occurs when you are trying to convert a particular DVD or any DVDs. Describe your actions step by step.

Also run the Repair utility to make sure that all the .dlls are registered on your PC:
1. Close AVS Video Converter and all other running programs and applications.
2. Follow Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Repair
Please inform me on the .dlls not installed properly (do not pay any attention to AVSMobileDevice2ActiveSync.dll).

Hope to hear from you soon
