Hi

In one of the previous versions I complained that 64Bit/6+GB MKV files have a sort of a memory leak only with a cpu which was later acknowledged to be a bug.

now with the new version I'm seeing a similer problem only in reverse. Version 6.3.3.371
converting 4+GB (not 5 or 6GB) MKV files to mpeg4

at the start of the conversion everything works fine and conversion prograsses at several %0.x
when conversion reaches around %80+ espicially around %95+ the prograss is halted, going slower at
%0.01 every x seconds. looking at the task manager the application uses around %17 CPU (Intel Q9550 Quad Core)
changes to the priority of the application does nothing at this point and %1 conversiaon takes about 5 minutes

I might have changed advanced codec options at one point but I'm not sure its related to the problem
since the problem only occures at the of conversaion

anyone experiencing a similer problem or is it only me?

ok I notice now that out of the 4 cpus only the 3rd one is working at around %75-%80 (on the performance tab in task manager)
the rest of the 3 cpus seems idle.

Total cpu use is as I said before %17

ok I started seeing a noticable slowdown from %84.x
although I thought it would be from %80 but I didn't see anything noticable

You must be referring to the following post you have submitted in May. Please note this topic which has been created lately. As mentioned by Vlad, the conversion process is organized in two stages and the CPU usage decreases during the final stage, therefore you notice the slowdown.

Best regards

Im having the same problem and the response is always the same in the end, conversion is done in two stages second stage there is a slow down.In the earlier post it was mentioned 5 minutes for 1 % if there is 20% left to convert this is a very long time and not normal in my case it gets even slower from 85% on around 5 or 6 hours to complete nice eh?! This Complaint is scattered all around the forum in one variation or another. Im running this convertor on my desktop
also running the demo on my laptop demo works great have tried comparison between the both and cannot get the one on my desktop to work properly and I paid for that one go figure.....

We are really looking forward to resolving this problem, so please could you provide some additional information asked for in the original thread you have reported this problem in.

Thank you
