I'm trying to author a DVD using 9 WMV files. The WMV files are photo slideshows from Microsoft's PhotoStory 3. The output from PhotoStory (created before purchasing AVS) can be:
640x480, 800x600, or 1024x768 (profiles for PC). Additionally a "profile for creating is DVD's-NTSC (640x480)"; however the output takes 3x as long and is still a WMV .

My question is what output would be best from PhotoStory3 to import into AVS? In order to fit the 9 WMV fiiles/chapters the current DVD settings is set to Standard play. I may be able to fit it using the Good Quality setting. Do this settings basically output a resolution of 640x480 anyway (i.e. the AVS conversion of WMV always 640x480 regardless of input and output settings)?

Thanks

Hello,

It's better to select 800x600 resolution in PhotoStory3 for output to work with it in AVS Software. I would recommend you to use our special program AVS DVD Authoring to author DVD from your 9 wmv video slideshows. The program creates DVD NTSC discs with standard resolution 720x480 or DVD PAL with 720x576 for output.
