Okay, here's my problem:

I took a short video with my Canon Powershot A570 IS. The first few seconds of the video is right side up and then I turned the camera sideways in order to get my subject (who was dancing) in perspective. Well, the picture is sideways and I don't know how to make it right side up.

If anyone can tell me how to solve this problem I would be very grateful.

Please see the attached snapshot I took from the video so you know what I'm talking about.

Thank you.

You can apply the Rotate effect to your video file available both in AVS Video Converter and AVS Video Editor. For more information how to apply effects follow this link. The description of the effect is to be found here.

I had a portrait version of an MOV file and wanted to convert it to AVI format. It did this but it converted it to landscape form so the video has to be watched sideways. How can I retain the original portrait version in AVI format? I need to know if this can be done before I buy the program. Thanks

Hello,

You should apply video effect rotate to your MOV file in AVS Video Converter. Please note the post above from Nadin.

Sorry for the double post. I posted this in another forum but though it may fit better here. I have rotated the video just fine using the mentioned effect. However, now I have streamers projecting off both edges of the video. I cant figure out how to get rid of those. Any suggestions?

Hello,

If by
steve@adminsn...:
streamers projecting off both edges of the video
you mean black mattes, you can get rid of those with the help of Crop Scale option of AVS Video Editor.

Best regards

This does NOT apply to the current version of AVS Video Converter 8.2. Things must have changed as there is not edit/rotate function that I can find. I tried to search and review all the documentation but cannot find this simple function any longer. Do I have to revert to version 6?

Cheers,
