Firstly, we have just released the new version of AVS Video Converter (6.4). Please update the program, to make sure all the latest components are installed on your PC.

If the issue persists, please open the original file in the program, choose output format and preset, click Advanced > File Information and attach a screenshot of this window.

Thank you

Nadin-
Thank you for your reply. I downloaded the most recent version 6.4.1.416 and installed as advised. I removed the previous version prior and ran the install for this version. Again, I'm converting an mp4 file to a DVD for playback on a standard DVD console. I converted one file but still notice a slight shutter when visuals are moving across the screen. I'm also seeing a slight audio sync problem especially noticeable when characters on the screen are wrapped up in conversation. My sync problem was recorded before which you provided some .dll files to resolve. I did not install those files this go around since I wasn't sure if they would work for this version. Any idea why these problems are occurring and how can I resolve right away? I'm afraid I'm running out of patients dealing with this. Attached is a screenshot showing input and output parameters. Please note that none issues are apparent when viewing prior to conversion.

Thanks,

I downloaded a trial version of another conversion software and found these problems not to be an issue once the same mp4 was converted. What I was trying to do was make sure there wasn't an issue witht eh MP4 I was converting. To me, this proves there isn't a problem with the file since I used the exact same one for the test. I really want to get AVS's software to work so I appreciate your assistance.

We will do our best to offer a fix asap.

Gentlemen,

I recently purchased and downloaded your complete software package. I am experiencing the same out of sync audio problem everyone else is. I tried to download the updates but the video converter and audio editor both gave me checksum errors.

I currently have 6.3.2.370 video converter and was trying to download 6.3.3.371
The current audio editor is 5.2.1.232 and I was trying to download is 5.2.1.241

I would appreciate some advice as to how to overcome this in order to download the latest version. I will then try the video conversion again.

I also have an email into your support group to which I have not received an answer in several days as to why my audio may be out of sync. I have not used any custom settings in my conversions and have been acepting the defaults just to see how it works. It is obvious from the forum that there are serious issues with your converter product and out of sync voice. I would appreciate some straight advice on correct settings or an explanation as to exactly what the issue is.

I can upload any files you wish to help with this but I do need it to work soon. I have attached a screen shot of the standard advanced settings I used to convert the last file.

ok - an additional question. In an above comment Nadine states she downloaded the latest video converter (6.4.1.416) and her screen shot shows 6.4. Why, when I go to the update manager, does it try to download a 6.3 version? Where do I find the 6.4 version?

Regarding the updates, please note the following thread.

We'd need the original movie for testing. As soon as the problem is reproduced, our developers will try to find a solution. Such problems are caused by specification of particular files, therefore can be solved this way only. Please check the support page for the instructions.

Best regards

I've just recently registered our AVS Video Converter account and am having the same audio sync issues I'm hearing about here. Mostly have been trying to convert from WMV to MP4, but have run into problems when doing other tests to MP4 as well. Sent an email to support a couple of days ago but have not recieved a reply, so I thought I'd try here. Help!

Are the original files from the same source? Could you open one of them in the program, click Advanced > File Information and attach a screenshot of this window. Also make sure you are using the latest version of AVS Video Converter (released not long ago).

Attached is a screen grab of my current settings. We downloaded an installed the latest version (6.4) of the converter earlier this week.

I've been doing some experimenting and these current setting have got me close to sync. Now the only issue is people actually speaking on screen. The auido is lagging just behind the image.

I can upload the latest MP4 version if you send me your FTP info.

Thanks,

Mike

Please rather send us the original WMV file, as this would help us to reproduce the problem.
The instructions will be sent to your e-mail address.

Kind regards

I was just getting back to my issue of out of sync video. I got your email concerning uploading the Video_TS directory and tried it, however, I could find no way to create a directory on your FTP site. It merely lists the other directories that are there. If I copy a file or directory off my machine I am unable to paste it to the FTP site as the "paste" function is grayed out. I have attached a screen shot showing what I see when following the link to your FTP site. Let me know if I am missing something here or send me new instructions.

I am uploading the VIDEO_TS file now. I had to tracert your URL of ftp.avsmedia.com to get your IP (208.67.226.23) and then just use my FTP software. Works great that way. Please let me know what you find.

Please make sure you are using the newest version of AVS Video Converter.

If the problem persists with the updated software, could you send us the original DVD movie and specify the output preset chosen. That would help us to reproduce the problem. The additional infstructions will be sent to you on the support page.

Kind regards
