I had the same problem on a good XP SP3 machine with strong RAM and Graphics hardware. I think the issue is the path from the monitor to AVS, and from the microphone to AVS. I changed my default mic to microphone (VS line in or WebCam) and it seems to solve the problem for me. There might be a delay of audio processing if the audio input has to run through a less direct path to disk. Any additional steps in processing will delay the audio track creation, resulting in an out-of-sync problem.

Good luck to us all.

Hello,

We recommend to capture video to AVI format in our program. You can select in Settings>Video tab.

Sync problem may still persist on weak computers. Could you please specify your PC configuration - Operating System, CPU, Ram?

Also, which kind of video you are capturing? Do you make some tutorials or capture internet video stream?

Best regards.

I just read through pages and pages of frustrated complaints about the screen capture.

Does the screen capture capability work correctly for anyone????

Should we bother trying to get it right - or do I need to look for another software????

(this are not rethorical questions - I really would like an answer - thanks)

Hello. I have a problem of out sync with AVS Screen Capture.

When recording the screenshot so good, however the work and see the AVI or AVS Video Editor, video lags the audio.

The sequence of images seems to go faster and not according to the audio record.

Tested in both size and custom capture full screen. And in video format AVI and WMV. And it also tried using only Screen Capture AVS Video Editor AVS before.

Hey I tried this and now it works so thank you! Also because I havn't registered there is a little message in the centre of my screen, now I know that I have to register for it to be removed but is there away to move it from the centre to like the corner or top of the page? if not could you maybe consider adding that to upcoming updates please.

Hello AVS,
I'm still having the audio sync problem. I have the latest copy of the program and I'm not using a "weak" computer.

The problem gets worse the more you do while the capture is running. If you just let it sit there, hands off, it's pretty accurate. However, when you start moving that cursor or doing typical things you would do while surfing or making a presentation, that's when it gets bad.

Running an online stopwatch, it's obvious that while the audio is fine on playback, the clock starts running faster and faster. Thus by three minutes, the video is several seconds ahead of the audio. I'll be happy to send you a demo vid if you like.

Using poor old free Cam Studio I don't have this problem. Of course, it's completely outdated and tends to crash my computer....but the sync is flawless.

I have done everything you said and this problem continues. Any ideas?
Thanks
Norm

Is there any further development on fixing this issue? I love the features and ease of usability in the screen capture program but the video runs so much faster than the audio of me talking for the tutorial its not going to do anything but confuse people...

Capturing to AVI format is known to not have this issue? If I recall correctly I tried it and got the same results.

Win7 Pro,

6 core 2.4Ghz AMD cpu, 8GB of ram. Fairly short video less than 2 minutes in length as a tutorial with voice recording in the background.

I'm having the same problem: the sound is way behind the video on a screen capture. I mean really behind. In a 7 second video, the sound is a full second behind no matter what settings I use.

I hah 6.1 and upgraded to the 6.2 version today.

Still a problem.

Dell Inspiron, i3 Sandy Bridge 2.3, 8gb Ram.

I've found a cumbersome, but effective work-around until AVS can fix their screen capture sync issue.

I use CamStudio because of it's flexibility, using their "Lossless codec 1.5" and audio @ 44.1khz/16-bit sound. I use full screen capture (1600x900) which is an easy 720 HD conversion.

I record a screen capture video. I just did one of 16:18.933 duration. It was badly synced, off 24 seconds at the end. I suppose the longer the video, the worse the syncing.

Using the AVS audio Editor, I extracted the sound to mp3. The sound was 15:55.040.

The ratio of video to sound is 102.5% (almost exactly. So in the Audio Editor I increased the "Rate Change" to 102.5%. This gave me an mp3 of 15:55, not even .5 seconds off the video.

I put them both in the AVS Video Editor, mute the audio track on the video, and...Shazaam...a properly synced screen capture video.

I've done this twice now with great success. Cumbersome, but effective.

But I do hope AVS gets this fixed. But in fairness to them, seems every screen capture software has a sync problem.

I am having the exact same problem and I am using the latest version of your software. The video is running much faster than the voice recording making this unusable for me. I have tried to record on all formats and the same problem occurs. What must I do to have this fixed?
