does anybody know if the .ts format is going to be implemented into VC6? I get this "DVB Transport Stream" when downloading films from my TV receiver...

But I can not say the precise date of the release of AVS Video Converter that will support DVB Transport Stream.

As I already said, we are working on the m2ts format. At the moment, we updated the VC6. The latest version of AVS Video Converter 6.2.1.262 (Release Date: 26/06/2008) supports m2ts files, but from Blu-ray discs only.

As for the files that come from the camera, they are different a bit, and not supported at the moment, but I assure you, that issue will be solved.

Just trying to find out if there is any update. I too purchased this product only for m2ts conversions because I saw m2ts in the list of file formats when I downloaded the demo version. I have no need to convert from any other source format.

I was told by Support to wait for the next release for a fix, which was supposed to occur in "a week or two" and that was almost a month ago. I contacted support earlier this week with no response about a planned release of an updated version fully supporting m2ts.

I would like to know if/when this will be resolved and if it's not soon, I'll need to move on to some other product.

We solved all known problems with m2ts conversion.

The updated version of the AVS Video Converter 6 will be available on the site in some days.

But at the moment you can download the attached AVSM2TSFile3.dll and place it following:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX

After you pasted the dll into the appropriate folder, you will be asked whether you want to overwrite/replace it. Say YES.

Please inform us about the result. If it does not solve your problem, please describe it in the detailed way and we will work on it.

(The .dll has been deleted, as it has been included into the latest update. Update AVS files following Start > Programs > AVS4YOU > AVS Update Manager)

I placed that file in the specified folder and it has had no impact on the problem. The Video Converter still crashes as soon as I hit Convert.

The DLL was not there to begin with from the 6.2.2.287 build. Additionally, usually you have to register dll's in Windows, is that not the case with this dll? I'm guessing the DLL has had no impact because the VC doesn't even know it's there since it wasn't in the previous release and hasn't been registered.

Please Advise.

I'm having a problem with AVS Video Converter while trying to convert an m2ts file. The program begins to read the file and after a few moments fails. The Microsoft dialog pops up asking me to send information to Microsoft.

When I check the Application Event Log it shows"Faulting application avsvideoconverter.exe, version 6.2.3.320, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.1433, fault address 0x00045b36." It does not matter which output format I choose, the result is the same.

I have the M2ts file on an IDE disk using Ultra DMA Mode 4.The m2ts file checks out as good from end to end.

My operating system is Media Center XP with Service Pack 3. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Quad. The system has four gigabytes of memory. The motherboard is an ASUS P5QC.

I would attach a snapshot of the screen as you request, but the file never finishes loading it so I can not use the "Advanced" button.

I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have on correcting this situation. Thanks!

I have just bought the Panasonic AG-HMC70P video camera that records to a chip in the .m2ts format.
When I try to convert the file to .avi, the programs converts 1.47% and then crashes.
Any idea what is going wrong?

I downloaded the avs video converter 6 to see if it would be a program I would like to have but I can't seem to get it to work.

The program installs fine, but when i start clicking around to select files it crashes to the desktop.

I am trying to convert a m2ts file to mpeg

I have an Intel core i7 920 processor
6 GB of RAM

Over 2 TB of HD space.

Any ideas? What am I missing?

Please try following the instruction above, i.e. save the .dll attached to the appropriate folder. If the problem persists, write back and I will send you instruction on how to upload the file to our FTP server for testing.

Where is this folder located on a Vista installation?

It is the same folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX

Make sure that all the folders on your PC are shown. Please go to My Computer folder, click on Organize > Folder and Search Options, switch to View bookmark > Hidden Files and Folders and enable the option "Show hidden files and folders".
