I'm frustrated. I have a Dell with windows 7

I bought the unlimited AVS last night. The video recorder looks great but it has about a 2 or 3 second delay in everything i do.
I want to make music videos of myself singing and i can't very well do that with the delay.
I turned off the dell webcam central thinking that might help but it didn't.... can anyone help me?????

This is normal for a webcam that on preview during recording there is a 2-3 sec delay. Is your recorded file desynchronized or is your video recorded fine? Could you specify the exact model of your camera.

Best regards

Also, can I change the FPS (Frames Per Sec)?

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply.

Could you please give more details:

- specify the model of your capture device;

- specify to what format you record video - Recommended, Native, MPEG-2.

- inform us about your PC configuration (Operating System, CPU, Ram).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

Can't believe you, guys didn't get this sync issue right yet! I have the same problem and you've been having it for quite a while as it can be seen from posts. My device: Hauppauge 950Q. OS: XPSP3, Core 2 Quad CPU Q9300 @2.50 GHz, 3.25 Gb RAM. Other capturing software like WinTV7 works, but I wanted to record in native format first and then convert to MPEG2. Well, I got the same problem as the others: audio is delayed by 2-3 sec.

Hello,

The problem described in previous post is quite different from those which you faced as that appeared working with webcamera.

First of all please update or reinstall drivers for your Hauppauge 950Q device. You can download the latest drivers from manufacturer website.

If it does not solve your issue, please specify from what source do you capture video (VCR, camera) and how do you connect video and sound from it to your Hauppauge 950Q. Do you have 2-3 delay already on preview in the program or only in recordered files?

Regards.

Hello,

Do you have synch problem also on preview or it works fine? Could you please specify to which format do you record video in AVS Video Recorder- Recommended, Native or MPEG-2?

Try recording to Native format and if the problem persists, please send us log files. For it run C:\Program Files\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoRecorder\AVSVideoRecorder_LOG.bat, it will launch AVS Video Recorder and create log files. Repeat the problem in AVS Video Recorder, close the application. After you close the program, the folder with log files will automatically appear. Please attach log files to your message.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

I am also getting this delay thing with sound and vision, but also with a lot of sound feedback noise.
The camera is a Sondstrom 3.0 Mega HD and everything works fine if I use Windows MovieMaker or Camtasia.
So why am I getting this same problem and how can fix it?
Thank you.

I had 2-3 second delay problems with the recorder as well. I fixed the issue by moving the AUDIO input from my computer sound card over to the audio input on my video capture card. I use the ATI eHome Wonder card. Works fine for me now.
