I am trying to convert from Blu-ray to mpeg but the mpeg is in French. It seems like the Dolby TrueHD audio track is unavailable. The drop down for the audio track in the Advanced panel has 3 options, but I assume those are for the 3 foreign languages included on the disk.

Please see the attached images for more information.

Thank you for your time,
Steve

Unfortunately, TrueHD audio is not supported by our software. We are working on this issue at present.

Dang. I just found out TrueHD audio isn't supported the hard way. I'm sure AVS will get all the bluray stuff working sooner or later, but man I wish sooner would get here quickly.

The appropriate program component is being tested at the moment. We will inform you as soon as the update is available. It might take a couple of weeks.

Hello, I have a Bluray I wanted to convert to an AVI format for my portable device. When I browse to the 38 GB file and start the conversion, it does it in another language. How can I make sure it is in the English language? For example, I browsed to the Star Trek "E:\BDMV\STREAM\00000.m2ts" which is the largest file on the disk (38 GB) but it wasn't English. When I double click the "00000.m2ts" file that is on the Bluray, it plays in another language. Before I purchase it, I want to make sure I can convert properly.

Thank You!

Please import index.bdmv into the program, as this file contains the complete information on Blu-ray movie. To choose the audio track, click Advanced > File Information and set the appropriate language in Audio > Track field. To make sure the right one is selected follow to the Edit window to preview the movie prior to conversion.

Best regards

There are only these 3 choices (in this order):

French AC3
Spanish AC3
English AC3

If I use English AC3, it play in English but with commentary.

Obviously, the main English track is encoded with TrueHD audio codec, therefore it is not recognized by the program. Please note the posts submitted above.

Has your programmers had any luck with the Dolby TrueHD audio problem with Blu-Ray discs? Almost all the new discs are using it and when trying to convert can't find the correct english soundtrack.

Hello,

Our developers are working to add TrueHD support to the program, but, unfortunately, we cannot say for certain when it will be ready. We are sorry if it may be of any inconvenience.

Best regards.

I may have found a work around using a 3rd party software, however this being a AVS4YOU forum, I am not sure I can post my results here. I am currently testing and will let you know if it works or not. Theoretically it should.

If by "Muxing" is meant a process where multiple analog message signals or digital data streams are combined into one signal over a shared medium, then is it surely involved in AVS4YOU software.

Sorry Vlad, apparently I am not allowed to post the solution because it does involves another step and software before loading into AVS4YOU.
