Hello,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC. Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:
http://avs4you.com/downloads.aspx
Now install the software on your PC anew.

If it does not solve the issue please contact us again and specify your PC configuration.

Best regards.

Hi,
I’ve been using AVS video converter for some time and I think it is a great tool. I recently bought a Panasonic LUMIX TZ20 camera and Im trying to use AVS to combine a number of the .mts video files using AVS batch mode. I want retain the native AVC .mts/m2ts HD format as it works well on a usb stick plugged into my Sony Bravia TV.
The problem is that when I convert the file to .m2ts the resulting picture is fine but there is no sound. The original file plays on the TV just fine and with sound so Im a little stuck.
When I look at the advanced box in AVS I see that the i/p audio codec (AC3) is not the same in the output codec (LPCM) file as in the input file but there is no way to change the settings as they are greyed out.
Im on V 8.1.2.510
Can you offer any suggestions ?

Not sure on this and it's the first time I've seen this tough. May be incompatible or a patch needed? A moderator should be able to confirm this.

Hello,

Try installing the codec pack.
If it doesn't help and the file still plays back with no sound in players on your PC, you will not be able to convert the file to a file with sound in AVS Software.

Best regards

When I convert my video to MPEG using Video Code MPEG-1 and Audio Codec MP3 my converted video plays but there is no sound. When I use the Audio Codec MP2 my converted video has both video and sound. What is going wrong when I am selecting the MP3 Audio Codec?

I'm using Version 8.3.1.530 of AVS Video Converter
My Operating System is Windows 7 64 Bit
I'm playing the converted file with Windows Media Player

I've included a screenshot of my conversion parameters and the video with no sound.

Thanks for your help.

Dear User,

Thank you for the detailed description of the problem and the files attached.

The video file you have attached is the converted one? It has sound while playing on my PC.

Please try to install KLite Codec Pack on your PC.

After that use AVS Media Player to playback the file and inform about the result.

Kind regards

I was able to play the file on Windows XP but I can't play it on my Windows 7 64 bit computer. So, the problem appears to be my Windows 7 computer.

Thanks for your help,
Andy

Dear Andy,

Do you have any codec packs installed on your Windows 7 computer? Try to use KLite Codec Pack.

Specify the PC player used on Windows 7 to playback the video.

Kind regards

I just installed and registered AVS Video Tools 5. Out of 20 attempts to convert YT video files, which I named .flv (using savevid.com and keepvid.com) only one had audio, one had audio that was WAY out of sync, and the others had NO audio. I tried converting to AVI and WMV, and used different settings, but still no joy. ?

Here are a couple, starting with the shortest:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKFxUxzC6IE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv30NpW1FX4

In reading other posts, I saw one person say that 'some' videos have a unique codec that doesn't allow for the audio to be rendered. I hope this isn't the case.

Thanks, Troy

Hello Jacqueline,

Thank you very much for the file. We tested it.
The fact is, that the audio is there after the conversion. I can suppose, that the audio track is not identified by the player you use.

So, please try to use AVS DVD Player to visualize the video.

Hope to hear from you soon.
