I am using AVS Audio Editor, and want to import music from a CD for background music to a voice recording. Is this possible within this program. I have seen older versions of Audio Editor with a PROJECT tab with options for importing music. So I am puzzled that there is no PROJECT tab on the version I downloaded a week ago.
Also is there a tab for increasing the volume.
Would appreciate advice.

This feature will be available in the next version of AVS Audio Editor we are currently working on. For the moment, however, you need to grab files from a CD first using AVS Audio CD Grabber. The program can be downloaded following the link.

Most likely you used AVS Music Mix. Such options are available in this program, as it allows you to create your own mix projects. AVS Audio Editor has editing functions, but projects are not created in this program.

In order to increase the volume of your audio track, you need to apply the Amplify effect to your file.
Here you can find the detailed how-to-do information.

You need to use audio CD grabbing function available either in AVS Audio Converter 6 or AVS Audio Editor 5. Here you can find the detailed information.

I was using AVS Audio Grabber 4.1 to copy an audio CD. The copy was running about 1/2 and suddenly the Audio Grabber had stopped working. What is the cause of this problem and how to correct it? Thanks.

The development of AVS Audio CD Grabber has been stopped. Its functionality has been embedded into AVS Audio Editor and AVS Audio Converter. Please use either of these programs to save tracks from your CDs to computer.

For more info about this option follow this link.

Hello,

As you may know, FreeDB doesn't work anymore, which may cause some issues when using CDDB in AVS4YOU audio programs.

We can offer you to try adding a custom server <freedb.dbpoweramp.com> into the list of CDDB servers in Audio Software GUI. Please follow the link to read the detailed instruction. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee the proper workflow.

Should you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Best regards
