I keep getting this message (see attached 'Error 1') whenever I try to run Video Converter or Editor.

The programs seem to run OK once I have closed the error message 3 times.

'Error 2' happens in Video Editor when I try to save my edited video file to a device file format which results in me having to abort and close the program.

I have now completely un-installed and re-installed both programs having downloaded the latest versions from your website but the problem still persists.

Please help as this program used to function perfectly.

Many thanks

Ian

Hello Ian,

I should clear up one detail... Was the option "install Windows Media Formats Series 11 Runtime files" checked during installation of the program? In other words have you installed these components?

Regards.

Thanks for your reply Vlad, I didn't check or uncheck anything during install, I just ran the install program 'out of the box' so to speak.

I should also mention that I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

I have now had a reply from your support staff to a previous email I sent a few days ago detailing a procedure to hopefully rectify the problem. I'll try this and report back.

Hi Vlad'

I followed these instruction from Eugenie at tech support:-

1. Go Start> All Programs> AVS4YOU> Uninstall.
2. Go Start> Run... Print regedit in the opened window and click Ok.

In the opened Registry Editor window please find and delete all AVS4YOU folders.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU (delete it).
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU (delete it).

3. Go Local Disc (C:) > Program Files > AVS4YOU (delete it).
Go Local Disc (C:) > Program Files > Common Files> AVSMedia (delete it).
Go Local Disc (C:)>> Documents and Settings>> All Users>> Application Data>> AVS4YOU (delete it).

as best I could and re-installed as you recommended but there's no difference.

I've attached screen shots of the repair results showing the two entries that came up in red, hoe this helps.

Hello Ian,

Sorry for the delay.

It's ok if these two dll's were not loaded. They do not affect functionality of the program.

Possible solution has been sent to you in our support system. Please infrom us about the results.

Best regards.
