Hello, i have a movie that is in .mp4 format. I tried to convert it to .avi so i can play it back on our Divx DVD player. After the conversion i get a scrolling screen. Are my setting wrong? not sure what is going on here. any help would be great.

Does the same problem persist when you play the disc on your PC? Could you attach a snapshot of the video to explain the problem better. Also open the source MP4 file in AVS Video Converter, choose the preset for conversion, then click on Advanced > File Information and make a screenshot of this window.

Thank you in advance

what i mean by the screen scrolling is its like i need to adjust the v-hold on the TV itself. Like on the old TV's they had a v-hold knob that you could adjust because the screen was flipping vertically. also here is my screen shot.

When you play the converted AVI file on your computer, is it played fine? Please try to play this file both from HDD and from the DVD burnt. What is the result?

If the movie is played fine, this must be the hardware problem, i.e. check up your TV or DVD player settings. Specify the model of your DVD player and TV.

Regards

yes this movie plays fine on my computer. I've checked the setting on both the TV and DVD all seem normal. At least i cant find anything that would correct the problem. I'll investigate my hardware. thanks.
