Dear user,

In order to solve this problem please repair AVS files:

1. Close all AVS programs and other running applications.
2. Copy the following link to the address bar of My computer window and press <Enter>:

If you run 32bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe
If you run 64bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe

If some of the .dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to us.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards

Hi ,
I've got , since a few days "abnormal program termination " when running Videoeditor , after some 10 seconds about with the AVS4you logo screen. I dont see any signifiant change since the prog was running normaly (win update ? )

I ran %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe and all file are tagged "succès" (from AVSAMVFile3.dll to zlib1.dll )

I did uninstall and then re installed the lastest version downloaded from AVS4YOU site ( in fact it was the same version 9.1.1) without success .
I even tried to reinstalled a previous version (7.2) and got the same problem/message on starting the app

Could you help me ?
best regards
Gerard

Hello,

To resolve the issue please try to change some settings:

1) Choose Video buffer option: Settings -> Preview -> Video rendering = Use video buffer.

2) Choose Single-Tread Conversion (Edit > Settings > Processing > Single-Thread Conversion)

3) change video decoder:

Settings -> Acceleration
Variants of decoders:
1) hardware Intel Media decoder - for Intel processors with iGPU;
2) software Intel Media decoder - for Intel/AMD CPU;
3) NVIDIA CUDA decoder (enabled) - for NVIDIA GPU;
4) common decoder (disabled Intel decoder and disabled NVIDIA decoder)

Inform about the results.

Best regards

Hello,

I've been using AVS Video Editor several times before, but it suddenly started displaying the
"abnormal program termination" every time I try to open it. I also followed the procedure you posted
to repair the AVS files, but each of them gave me "Success, so nothing wrong seems to be there.
I also uninstalled the program and reinstalled it several times, but nothing changes.
Can you help me?

Dear user,

Thank you for your reply.

Could you please create log files and send them to us via Support System?

Find AVSVideoEditorLog.bat file in the program folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor\

Then double click on AVSVideoEditorLog.bat file to run AVS Video Editor and wait when the error repeats.

When AVS Video Editor is closed, a folder with log files will be opened automatically

C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor\AVSVideoEditor.log

Please send the log files.

Thank you for your cooperation

For some reason, my AVS Video Editor is now doing the abnormal program termination. I have used the product REGISTERED for years and need this resolved. And yes...I did run the repair utility in the %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe and it states it was successful. Apparently even your repair program does not report properly.

Please respond ASAP as i have a deadline and am using the product.

Thank you, Terry

Hello Terry,

Our manager has contacted you via AVS4YOU Support System on this issue.

If you have the latest version of AVS Video Editor installed, try to launch in in safemode:
Move to the C:\Program Files (x86)\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor folder and run the AVSVideoEditorSafeMode.bat file.

Best regards

Just downloaded Video Editor (9/28/2022) and continue to get "Abnormal program termination". Tried "Safe Mode" suggestion with the same result. PLEASE, does anyone have a way to fix this? I haven't been able to use editor for a long time. Running Windows 11 on Intel i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz with 32.0 GB memory.
