Hello. I have lots of camcorder tapes of my daughter when she was baby. I have copied a two hour block from one of the tapes onto my computer's hard drive. Am I able to somehow add transitions between the different scenes within that two hour block? Or do I need to recopy the tape into individual scenes?
Thank you.

Dear Andrew,

You can import the video into AVS Video Editor, place it onto the timeline and split it into scenes, by using the Split button on the middle toolbar.

Then add transitions between scenes.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards

Thank you again for your help with the previous difficulty. I was wondering if there is a way to remove parts of the 2-hour block or cut off the end of it once it is in the storyboard. Can you help with that?

Hello. I found 'trim' and 'multi-trim' and am playing with that to understand it more. If you could give a few pointers on that, that would be most appreciated. I also found 'detect scenes' which seems to be quite helpful. I am also getting used to that. What a great program!

Dear Andrew,

Please follow this link to find the detailed information on how to use Trim and Multitrim options.

You use the Split button on the middle toolbar also to split your video into parts, then delete the unwanted ones.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards
