Good day!

I've been using AVS Video Editor for a few months on this particular computer without issue, until just a few days ago when the audio tracks stopped working for seemingly no reason. The issue isn't restricted to playback; the audio overlay files are completely mute in Produced videos files, as well.

I've tried editing the volume and pitches of the files, and no result.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and no result.

Also, editing the audio of a video file (through pitch shifts, etc.) has zero effect in both playback and Produced files.

The files I've tried include .mp3, .mp4, and .avi.

Any and all help is appreciated!

Dear user,

Please specify if you can playback audio on third party media players on your computer without any problems.

Try to repair AVS files:

1. Close all AVS programs and other running applications.
2. Copy the following link to the address bar of My computer window and press <Enter>:

If you run 32bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe
If you run 64bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe

If some of the .dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to us.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards

I got audio and video files to play on VLC and Windows Media Players, and after more playing around the AVS audio files play fine as long as they aren't yet in the project timeline.

Did the AVS repair, and there were a ton of missing files. Attaching the screenshot of the repair window.

Thank you for your help, again :)

Dear User,

Thank you for all the information provided.

To avoid the problem we would ask you to launch the utility on your PC. This utility will update AVS software components installed on your PC.

1. Save the .zip file on your PC and dearchive it.

2. Close all running AVS applications and launch the utility.

3. Follow the instructions given.

Please let us know about the results.

Best regards.
