Please cancel my subscription for "AVANGATE*AVS4YOU.COM" and refund my $39.00.

I am really sick of software companies automatically recharging annual subscription fees without customers' prior notice and explicit permission. This time, it was AVS4You.

I was charged $39.00 last night, causing my checkings account to go into the negative. I had not gotten an e-mail reminder about what was apparently yesterday's payment date.

In your FAQ section, you claim (when talking about the difference between the one year subscription and the 'unlimited plan'): "When the period is over, it is up to you to decide whether you prolong your license or stop using it."
Well, I was never given a reminder that if I didn't cancel the subscription somehow that I would be slammed with a $39 fee. One would think think that a "one year plan" is actually meant to be what it sound like - a *ONE* year plan.

I will uninstall this software immediately and would NOT like to continue my subscription.

Please refund my $39.

Another thing that's messed up- in the original receipt I received when I purchased a ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION a year, ago, the e-mail clearly says I purchased a ONE YEAR subscription.

"Product Reference: 604 110
Product Name: Subscription of 1 year of access
Product code: Subscription of 1 year of access

Quantity: 1
Price / Unit: 39.00 USD
Taxes (VAT): 0.00 USD
Total: 39.00 USD "

However, in the receipt e-mail I got yesterday, it says I had purchased an "unlimited subscription", which is a complete lie:

It has been over 24 hours and I have yet to get a response from the Support staff,whom I've contacted several times through the Support portal.

I too have just been charged 35.09 EUR for an unlimited subscription which I too did not buy. My original subscription was only supposed to cover a year and I did not renew it nor do I have any wish to do so so please refund my money. I'd like it if you could both cancel my subscription and refund my money. My order number is 24201137 and as you can probably see I have not activated the license key nor do I have any intention or wish to do so.

I have the same issue. I was charged the subscription fee, but have only purchased AVS for one year. Please give my the refund of 35 € and cancel my subscription. The transaction code is 265582312L019072B. I will only ask nicely once...

Don't buy ASV4YOU software!!! If you change hardware, your license will not be moved to the new hardware, but you have to buy a new license instead!!!

I am very angry.
I originally purchased a one year subscription and that is all I wanted. Recently I started receiving emails stating that my card had expired and therefore the auto-renewal function could not be activated. When each email stated that it could not be auto-renewed I believed I did not have to do anything to stop the auto-renewal as it would not happen.
I now feel I have had money stolen from me as you have auto-renewed and taken payment from a card you had led me to believe had expired. I now have a supposed lifetime subscription that I do not want and cannot find a way to terminate.
I want a full refund of the money that was taken from me without my consent and I want to know why each email said my card had expire? Was this a deliberate misleading ploy to trick me into making sure I didn't terminate the subscription?
I also want to know exactly how I terminate the subscription I have been tricked into.

Your license will expire on September 23, 2014 and has the "auto-renew" option enabled.

Unfortunately, Avangate cannot auto-renew the license for you because your credit card is either expired or about to expire until the auto-renewal schedule date.

I have the same problem with auto-renewal on a 1 year membership. I have requested a refund of the $39 processed through avongate. I almost deleted the notification email because it looks like a virus with an attachment invoice, but since I had ordered this video software a year ago I risked opening the mail. I hope I am refunded promptly and this practice does not continue. Future buyers BEWARE!
