Dear user,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC. Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download and install the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:
http://avs4you.com/downloads.aspx

If it does not solve the issue please contact us again and specify your PC configuration.

Best regards.

Additionally, does using an outdated version have anything to do with this?

Hello,

We always recommend using the latest version of the AVS software as they normally do not include bugs or problems noted in the previous versions.

Best regards

Ya this doesn't work AT ALL and I've tried it many times, I am to the point where I regret buying this...
How can something so simple not work?
Even Windows Movie Maker does this without issue, back to Vegas for me.

I want to simply fade in/out and whatever point my cursor is on and it just doesn't do a damn thing and its frustrating. Uninstalling then re-installing per your instructions does nothing other than waste more time. For a tool that is common in an editor's toolbox, this should just simply work.

And yea, I can get it to fade some of the time but it takes like 10-20 min of dinking around just to get one scene to blend with the other. When you have a few hours of fottage to do, this program just doesn't do what pretty much every other one does without issue.

I hope it gets fixed because I do love AVS for its streamlined mechanics but when shit like this doesn't work right away and reliably then I have no choice.

Here's hoping...

-Using the latest version ( obviously, why wouldn't you?)
-Actions step-by-step = Import footage ---> Split scene ---> click my cursor where i want the fade ---> rightclick then left click on fade in/out = NO EFFECT
(also if you right click and go into the AUDIO menu, you should be able to fade in/out from there....alas...that also does squat.
-No Error Messages
